The cats need you

The cats need not only food and shelter, but love and attention too. In order to prepare the kitties for their furever homes, our generous volunteers pet, play, care for and clean up after the Scratching Post Rescue cats. Just a couple of hours at the Rescue can make a big difference.

 
 

  • Cleaning is essential to the health and well-being of the kitties. It takes a team to keep the litter boxes clean, the floors mopped, and the laundry fresh.

  • Every morning there are hungry cats meowing at the doors! Beginning at 8AM everyday, we serve up wet and dry food for the cats of the Rescue.

  • While we clean, we give the cats love and attention. This helps them to be tame, loving kitties that are ready to be adopted. Kittens sometimes need more time and attention to learn that people are their friends!
