Scratching Post Cat Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes of companion cat rescue, care and placement of cats that are homeless and at risk of euthanasia.
The mission of Scratching Post Cat Rescue, Inc is to care for as many homeless cat/kittens as possible and find them loving homes while helping to reduce the cat overpopulation in Miami County by spaying and neutering every cat/kitten brought into our shelter.
The goal of Scratching Post Cat Rescue, Inc. is to help as many homeless cats as possible. This means working with other groups and individuals while raising community awareness and involvement. Most importantly, we will help ensure every cat is spayed/neutered before going to its new forever home.

Volunteer
If you love cats we would love to have you join Scratching Post Cat Rescue as a volunteer. The kitties appreciate your help and love the attention!
We are always in need of volunteers to help with grooming the cats/kittens, socializing with the cats/kittens, providing foster care, scooping litter boxes, and help with cleaning the building.

Donate
As a 501c3 non-profit cat shelter, the Scratching Post survives off of donations from generous people like you. Your donations are tax deductible.
Below are some no cost ways you can support us.
You can also check out our Facebook where we post our current needs (i.e. vet bills, litter, food, etc.) but PayPal or cash donations are always appreciated and go directly to the keep and care of the cats.

Adopt
We want your cat/kitten to be a good fit for you so please let us know what qualities you are looking for.
When you are ready to adopt you will fill out an adoption form and then pay an adoption fee. We require you to transport your new cat/kitten in a pet taxi for their safety.
